Sie studierten kognitive Neurowissenschaften in Paris (Paris-Sud XI), London (University College London) und Cambridge (University of Cambridge). Vor kurzem schlossen sie ihre Doktorarbeit in London (University College London) und in den Vereinigten Staaten (National Institute of Mental Health) ab. Als Sam Albatros haben sie Multimedia-Performances und experimentelle Kurzfilme entwickelt und 2021 den Roman „faulty boy“ veröffentlicht. Sie sind in den sozialen Medien aktiv und veröffentlichen originale und übersetzte Gedichte als Videopoesie auf YouTube (Kanal: Sam Albatros) und auf der von ihnen betriebenen Website queerpoets.com.  Im Jahr 2022 wird der Gedichtband „Crush“ von Richard Siken von Sam Albatros ins Griechische übersetzt (Polis publications). Sam Albatros’ künstlerische Arbeit wurde mit Schreibaufenthalten in Leipzig (Halle 14, in Zusammenarbeit mit Edit und dem Goethe-Institut Thessaloniki, gefördert von der Stadt Leipzig) und Berlin (Literarisches Colloquium Berlin mit freundlicher Unterstützung des Auswärtigen Amts) unterstützt.

Sam Albatros is an academic at King’s College London, writer, poet, translator and an internationally-acclaimed performance artist based in London, with a strong social-media presence in the Greek-speaking world. Their work has been supported by prestigious writing residencies in Berlin (Literarisches Colloquium Berlin) and Leipzig (Goethe-Institut Thessaloniki, HALLE 14, Edit), and they have been the recipient of a Stavros Niarchos Foundation & Artworks Fellowship for young artists. Faulty Boy is their debut novel. A best-seller, social media sensation, and already adapted for the stage multiple times, the novel is the first in Greece to be written in the voice of a gender non-conforming character who comes of age in the early 2000s, during a time of social and economic turbulence. In Greece, the book has attracted mainstream media attention and has been shortlisted for prestigious awards.
