Wagdy el Komy, born in 1980, is a writer and journalist working for the Arabic-language daily newspaper “El Youm 7” in Cairo. In his novels and short stories, he deals, among other things, with corruption and the role of dictators in Egypt, and the transformation of human values. With the kind support of the German Federal Foreign Office, he was a house guest at the LCB in 2015.

In seinen Romanen und Kurzgeschichten beschäftigt er sich u.a. mit der Korruption und der Rolle der Diktatoren in Ägypten, und dem Wandel der menschlichen Werte. Mit freundlicher Unterstützung des Auswärtigen Amts war er 2015 Hausgast im LCB.
