Tali Konas is a translator and editor from German to Hebrew and project manager at the Tel Aviv office of the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation. She has translated works by W.G. Sebald, Walter Benjamin, Herta Müller, Thomas Bernhard and Ingeborg Bachmann, amongst others. This text was written in the framework of an Art/Research project by the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation and the Israeli Center for Digital Art on the topic of “Tracing the Ottoman Period in Palestine/Israel”.
